BEARD WASH VS. HAIR SHAMPOO
Beard hair is different from head hair, but more importantly, the skin on your scalp is different from the skin on your face. On average, a man has 100,000 hairs on his scalp and only 30,000 beard hairs. Your scalp is pumping out way more natural oil than your face, and most hair shampoos are designed to handle that high amount of oil. Your face isn't nearly as oily, and washing it with hair shampoo designed for the scalp strips away too much oil and leaves your beard drier than a Texas summer. This results in a wiry, itchy, and uncomfortable beard. Beardbrand Beard Wash is formulated with no harsh cleansers—just gentle surfactants that dislodge dirt without drying out your beard.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU WASH YOUR BEARD?
When it comes to washing your beard, less is more. We generally recommend two to three times per week, but other factors might change the wash frequency depending on your skin type and where you live. Men with oily skin or who live in humid, wet climates can wash more frequently. Men with dryer skin and who live in dry, arid climates should wash less often. Thick curly beards are typically dryer and would benefit from less washing. Straight or patchy beards can handle more frequent washing. If you work a job where your beard is exposed to dirt—well, do what ya gotta do to keep it clean. Fortunately, Beardbrand Beard Wash is gentle enough for daily use.
HOW TO USE BEARD WASH
Start with a wet beard. Squeeze a dime-sized amount of Beard Wash into your hands, rub together, and apply to beard hair. Focus on the skin and roots and then work down to the end of the beard. Rinse. Follow-up with Beard Softener.

Don’t worry; if you aren’t completely satisfied with our products, we’ll take care of you. If something doesn’t work, we’ll find you a product that does, and if we can’t, we’ll make you whole.
- We offer full refunds up to 60 days from the date of purchase.
- After 60 days, we can do a refund as store credit.
